trip to universal #1

since that chef z had a 2 days off we decided to go on a mini road trip to universal orlando .. it is only one houre and 30 minutes trip by car from Tampa.. it was a rainy day but it stopped raining in orlando

the first thing we had to do is to check in a hotel to spend the night in .. the first hotel that came across us was the HARD ROCK HOTEL .. so we thought mmmm why not  :P

the guitar fountain was a nice tough at the entrance of the hotel

we booked a room with the garden view .. the room was nice the only thing that was weird it that they booked us a double bed room :/

of course chef z fell in love with the coffee machine .. it worked like the nespresso machine but the capsules are bigger and there is a larger variates of hot drinks in them ... not only coffee... the view was really cool

after settling in we moved to get our tickets from the concierge down in the lobby ... and since we are residents in the hotel we get to have the express pass in the parks for free and we can get a one hour early entrance to the park before it opens :)... yaaay 

so the universal studios is only 4 min walking distance from the hotel or you can get the water taxi which passes every 15 minutes .. we preferred to walk  

  while walking we saw the water taxi

 

we finally reached the gates of universal studios .... the soundtrack playing was Indiana Jones :P what a great start   

since that we are approaching October .. they were getting ready for the horror nights event ... they usually start on end of September till Halloween night

we still do not know the theme of this year's nights but i think it is (the walking dead) or something like that .... allah yastir :/











the rides in there were great the gave the 3D technology a whole new level for me  .....
we couldn't get photos of the rides because it is forbidden... :( these rides were the mummy, the terminator, ans disaster . on the other hand new rides installed were the despicable me ride and the shrek 4D !!!!!

for all the guys who love the Simpsons this ride is really recommended ... its a indoor roller coaster 

 and you get out of the ride into

next the MIB ride ... u get to go into an aliens shotting training with agent J :P

there were several live shows there .. the horror make up show

the beetle juice graveyard rock show

other shows that we didn't get to see were the animal actors show and the live fear factor was unfortunately out of business :(

around 6:30 the universal parade started so we had to go and get good spots and the famous turkey leg which was tasty but sooo big we shared one and were not able to finish it

 our spot was in front of the Hollywood rip ride rockit

 

the parade started exactly at 6:30 with the despicable me first

 then : (WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA ??)

then there was to cartoons that i don't really know  :P

i think one of them is hop
and the end was with dora and her cousin diago :P

 by this we ended our day in universal studios

as it is said I'LL BE BACK  :P in the next post :P
